Q. Is the myGasForums social network an ongoing community or does it go away after the conference?
A: This community launched in advance of the conference but will be hosted for a year in order to allow LDC Gas Forum attendees and sponsors to maintain contact and discuss important issues.
Q. How does the LDC Gas Forum use the information that I share here?
A: The LDC Gas Forums will not use the information gathered in your profile or in your postings for anything other than maintaining the community.
Q. How do I delete my profile and leave the community?
A: Email admin@zerista.com with your full and request that the administrator cancel your account.
Q. How do I disable email notifications from myGasForums?
A: Go to “My Settings” and unselect the “Email” check box for any notification you do not wish to receive:
- Messages from other members
- Follows
- Status updates and check-ins
- Profile updates
- Conversations/commenting
- Events
- Meeting requests
Q: What is the "Newsfeed" function?
A: The newsfeed on the myGasForums page shows the status of things that are happening on the site, for example that someone has updated their profile or that you have a message.
Q: Can I hide my profile temporarily?
A: Go to “My settings” and under #3 “Privacy Settings” select “Invisible – no one can see me, send me messages or request meetings.” Then click “Update Visibility.”
Q: Can I export my schedule info in to my computer's calendar application?
A: Yes, just go to your profile, select “My Page” > “My Schedule”, go to the bottom of the page and click either “Export to ical,” or “Export to Outlook.”
Q. Does the general public have access to my profile?
A: Only attendees (gas buyers) and sponsors of the conference have access your profile information. Certain data like your email address is not made available even to members of myGasForums, who must instead contact you through the system.
Q. What kind of smart phone do I need to use the mobile version of myGasForums?
A: We support Blackberry 4.6 and higher and most web-enabled phones. Users of Blackberry 4.5 and Older use Opera Mini to browse the site.
Q. Does it cost anything to be a member of myGasForums?
A: You qualify to become a member of myGasForums by registering for the conference or begin a designated member of a sponsoring company.
