TOUR DETAILS:

Tour #1: Everett Marine LNG Terminal and Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum (includes lunch at the terminal)
Following lunch at the terminal, participate in an educational tour of the Everett Marine LNG Terminal:
Distrigas of Massachusetts LLC owns and operates the Everett Marine Terminal just north of Boston.  This LNG terminal is the top importer of LNG into the U.S., the longest-operating LNG terminal in the nation, and the only continuously operating one.  The terminal supplies about 20 percent of New England’s natural gas, and up to 40 percent on a peak winter day.  Since beginning commercial operation in 1971, Distrigas has been serving the region’s needs for both re-gasification services and LNG trucking.  The facility directly connects with the Algonquin and Tennessee interstate natural gas pipelines, National Grid’s local distribution system, and Constellation Energy’s Mystic Power Station.

On December 20, 2010, Distrigas welcomed the 1,000th LNG delivery to the Everett Marine Terminal.  The company was the first LNG importer into the U.S. to achieve this milestone.  The LNG vessel GDF SUEZ Matthew made the 1,000th delivery; the very first LNG tanker to offload its cargo at the terminal in November 1971 was the Descartes.  Both ships are owned by GDF SUEZ, an international energy group and the ultimate parent company of Distrigas
(At the conclusion of this tour, venture on a tour of the new Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum--see below for details.)

Tour #2:  New England Aquarium and Boston Tea Party Museum (includes lunch at Cheers!)
Following lunch at the replica restaurant Cheers, off to the New England Aquarium.
Boston may not be high on the priority list when planning a tropical vacation, but the New England Aquarium does a great job of taking you away to the diverse marine habitats of the world with 70 international exhibits, as well as highlighting those closer to home. The New England Aquarium sits right on the magnificent Boston Harbor, surrounded by stunning views, spectacular yachts and occasional cruise ships
.
(At the conclusion of this tour, venture on a tour of the new Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum--see below for details.)

Both Tours include: Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum

You’ll not only view artifacts of historical importance, you’ll also have an all-encompassing, multi-sensory experience. At the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, you will be transported on an incredible journey back in time as you take part in the famous event that forever changed the course of American History! Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. The tour is designed to give you the opportunity to participate, explore and learn about the people, events and consequences that led up to the American Revolution in the order in which they actually occurred more than 230 years ago.

Note: Activities and social events (golf, spa, tour, Beer Bash, keynote luncheon and cocktail party) are designed as networking events for our attendees and are not available without conference registration.
