Midstream pipelines have become the new ground zero of environmental activism. After a largely unsuccessful campaign to keep all fossil fuels in the ground, activists have now adopted a new strategy: kill the heart of American energy by cutting the veins - pipelines. From unlawful, dangerous protest tactics to extraneous legal fights, anti-energy protesters have made it clear they are willing to do whatever it takes to stop the development of much-needed energy infrastructure.

Discussion of current market dynamics affecting the Northeast region, including supply/demand imbalances, forward curves, pricing behavior, etc. Also, an examination of strategies and tools to mitigate risk.

While traditional pipeline infrastructure projects are facing precedent setting regulatory hurdles and public opposition, many companies are turning to virtual pipeline solutions. This panel examines a merchant LNG facility from inception through construction with input from the company, its equipment supplier and construction contractor.
