Since 1969 the Mano’s brothers have run one of the best deep-dish pizzerias downtown, but the building has much more history going back to when it was the old 226 Club, an Al Capone controlled speakeasy, gambling den, and brothel. Explore one of the most historic speakeasies in Chicago as documented by the Chicago Tribune while dining on Chicago staples.  Next stop is Harry Caray’s in River North for wine, beer or a cocktail and to hear and see the best example, today, of Dutch Renaissance Architecture, once the center of The Chicago Outfit during Prohibition. We will head to the basement to see Frank Nitti’s vault along with the items that were found in it and hear about the tunnels he used to move undetected. Along this fun tour and journey, we will go past Grant Park, Millennium Park, Columbia College, The Art Institute, and the start of US Historic Route 66. There will be so much to see, so much deliciousness to taste and so many legends and stories to be told!
