Build out of renewable energy power generation continues in response to policy push and subsidies. The intermittent nature of renewable energy power generation demands that a consistently reliable source of power generation be available when renewables are not. Policy push for electrification, as well as new data center demand to support Artificial Intelligence (AI), translates into a significant forecasted increase in demand for power. Peak day demand continues to stretch capabilities, as the economy and population grows, and more intermittent renewables are introduced into the fuel mix. With gas and electricity are inextricably tied for the foreseeable future, so identifying the optimal mix of interdependency is critical to ensuring reliability.
